Prayer RequestChurch Family: I would like to request prayers for my brother-in-law Teodoro Gonzalez, 56, and my sister and family in Orlando. Teo, is currently undergoing tests to determine the cause(s) of his disorientation. He has gotten lost many times and has been forgetting things. Coincidentally, his younger brother Wilfredo 55, had the same problem and was diagnosed with alzheimer's two years ago. Their dad passed away from alzheimer's-related complications. Free Camping StoveGene and I have a small Primus Camper 2-burner propane stove. We have had it a long time and haven't used it in years. As far as we know, it still works fine. Most likely, we will never use it again. At first we thought we might put it up for sale at our Village Lakes subdivision community yard sale this Saturday, but we decided to see if there was anyone in the congregation who might need it. Even More Prayers NeededSome time ago, a lady from the community called the church office and asked for prayers for her husband, Donald Whitley, who was very ill in Cary Wake Med. Since that time, she (Beth) has kept in touch with Julie, Cathy Thomas, and me with updates. Her husband continues to be in serious condition. He is in Cary Wake Med ICU, Room 279. Beth is very grateful to the Cary church and the calls and visits. She is easy to talk to and would appreciate visits. Urgent prayers needed..Family, Floyd's younger sister and husband need your prayers immediately. They are both babes in Christ and are enduring an incredibly tough situation. Our brother in law, Ryan, was suspended from his job for protecting a 6 month pregnant woman from being abused in a grocery store. He has been suspended without pay and not sure if he even has a job.Floyd's baby sister is 5 months pregnant as well. This story has been on the news on the west coast.The Police Chief of the local area called Ryan a hero and believes that he may have saved the woman's like. Please copy the link and pray for them. The Seaside church of Christ, their local congregation and where we were taught the gospel and baptized, will be the best place to send help. The address is 1310 Broadway , Seaside, CA 93955. They are indeed members there. There were also those who wanted to purchase gift cards for the upcoming baby. That would be great too. Just and update and thanks!I want to thank everyone for your prayers, cards & calls. They are all greatly appreciated. Being isolated due to health problems, it is encouraging to be remembered. I was just recovering from my surgery, and my first chemotherapy treatment has really knocked me for a loop. My fatigue is much worse and even the smell of most food makes me sick. I am unable to receive visitors due to a low white blood cell count making very susceptible to infection. I don't want to offend anyone, but when I am able to receive visitors, I ask that they not wear any cologne or perfume. I already had a bit of a problem with odor sensitivity but it is much worse now. We have changed detergents, soap and household cleaning product to scent-free. Thanks again for all the prayers, cards and calls. Fellow Manager Loses Battle with Cancer this AMHello All, Thank you for all of your very kind concerns and prayers for my friend and fellow co worker Mike Heath. Carolina Bible CampFamily, Just got a note from Bro. Wilson from Carolina Bible Camp asking me to remind everyone about CBC. For all of you who are thinking about going to Carolina Bible Camp, it is time to start filling out those applications and sending them in. If you need more information on the camp, please google carolina bible camp and check it out. It is a FABULOUS way for our kids here at Cary to meet local kids in the body here in Raleigh and NC. The kids have built very strong relationships with each other and God. There are 7 weeks available with different themes and many of our kids attend. Our boys have had a wonderful experience in a rock solid truth atmosphere with real life application. They certainly grew in spirit and truth as well as created relationships with kids area wide that they see quite often. cccmemberThank you so much for the visit, the cards and the many prayers for Mom and I. I came home this afternoon. I was shocked that Dr. Rubatt let me come home this early, but she felt I would do just as well at home. The surgery was more invasive and took longer than originally anticipated, almost 6 hours. Andy Waters - Preacher's training schoolHi Family, I wanted to write and update everyone on the status of our move to preacher's training school at Bear Valley. Unfortunately, we have reached an obstacle that we have not been able to overcome. I am very appreciative to each of you who told me that you would be willing to help me with support, and I don't think finding support would be too much of a problem. Our problem is that my medical history is preventing us from obtaining medical insurance. We have to have this insurance, as it is too expensive to afford my medicine and medical care with out it. We are excited that we will have more time to serve our Father with the family here at Cary, but our family is disappointed as well. Dad Hi church family. Wanted to give an update on dad He is much better. This has been a roller coaster!!! We came in Monday for a heart valve replacement. They found him critically low on blood. Gave transfusion. Purged his system for a day, did scope and colonoscopy. Didn't find source of bleed (or cancer). Had him swallow a camera. Gave him huge amounts of iron. Now waiting for camera results. But suspecting that blood loss is due to original problem of heart valve. So think they'll release today and do valve replacement in couple of weeks. KennyAs many of you know Kenny had his Kidney stones removed 3weeks ago. Since that time he has been unable to urinate on his own. They have tried different meds and he has now been on the 3rd one for about 2wks. He is scheduled this am at 9:45 for IVP test on his kidneys, blood work and will see the doctor at 11:00. This morning he has woken up with a low grade fever. Please pray that they get to the source of the matter and that it made be treated so that that he can urinate on his own and a speedy recovery.
